Admission to the Met includes same-day admission to The Cloisters museum and gardens, the branch of the Metropolitan Museum devoted to the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Europe. Boasting unparalleled views of the Hudson River, The Cloisters is located in northern Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park.

The museum is open six days a week: Sunday and Tuesday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Closed on Mondays, except holiday Mondays. Also closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Galleries are cleared 15 minutes prior to closing time.

Address: 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street.

Take the Hudson, Harlem or New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal. From there take the following:

    Subway:
      Take the uptown 6 train to the 77th Street stop and walk a few blocks northwest to the museum, or the 4, 5 trains to the 86th Street stop and walk a few blocks southwest to the museum.
    Bus:
      Take the northbound M1, M2, M3, M4 or M5 (located on Madison Avenue) to 82nd Street.
