When is Group Travel NOT valid?
The Group Travel discount is valid on all trains, except on any weekday train that either arrives in Grand Central Terminal (GCT) between 5 AM and 10 AM or that departs GCT between 4 PM and 8 PM.

Do I need a reservation for Group Travel?
Yes, you must have a reservation with the Group Travel Department in order to purchase your Group Ticket. Once you have made a reservation with us, we will send you either by mail or fax a Sales Request that you will then bring to your nearest ticket office to purchase your Group Ticket.

What is a Sales Request?
You must have a Sales Request from our Group Travel Department before you can purchase a Group Ticket. A Ticket Agent will not sell you a Group Ticket without a Sales Request from us. The Sales Request will list your groups contact information, date of travel, number of adults and/or youths traveling, boarding and destination station and your departure times. The price of your ticket will also be quoted for you on the Sales Request.

Do you provide One Way Group Rates?
Yes, we offer one way and round trip group rates.

What is a Group Ticket?

When should I make my Group Travel Arrangements?
While we recommend that you make your Group Travel arrangements 2 weeks in advance of your date of travel, please feel free to contact us at any time to discuss availability.

When should I buy my Group Ticket?
Group travel recommends that you purchase your ticket prior to your travel date. If purchasing your ticket on the day of travel, please arrive at the ticket office 30 minutes in advance of your departure time, so that you will not miss your scheduled train if ticket lines are long. Please note that Group Tickets are not available at Ticket Vending Machines, you must go to a ticket office to purchase the ticket.

How do I buy my Group Ticket?
Once we confirm your trip we will fax or mail you a Sales Request that you may bring to any station with a ticket office, where you will purchase your ticket. A Ticket Agent will only sell you a Group Ticket if you have a Sales Request from our office.

Is my Group Ticket refundable?
If you do not use the ticket on the day in which you intended to travel, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. If you plan on traveling within a reasonable amount of time we can make arrangements for you to use the same ticket. If you do not plan on traveling we ask that you send the ticket back to us immediately, and we will review your request for a refund. Please note that the number of people travelling must remain the same once the transaction has been made. Should fewer people ride than the ticket is valid for, no refund will be issued. Should more people ride than the ticket indicates, individual one-way fares shall be collected from each of the additional group members.
