A tragic accident occurred shortly after 9 AM this morning on the on–bound ramp to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge involving an MTA Bridges and Tunnels tow truck in which a 7–year–old boy was struck and killed. He was crossing the ramp with his mother.
The driver was tested for alcohol at the scene, and it was negative. The NYPD has said they do not believe criminal charges will be filed.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the family.
