Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for taking, editing, printing, mounting, organizing and archiving official NYC Transit digital photographs and digital videos. These photographs and videos will be used to support the delivery of prompt information about subway and bus service, educate stakeholders about MTA capital program investments and continue employee communications activities, such as mta today and the FYI Network. Digital images will appear on the MTA website and social media, such as Twitter, Flickr, Facebook and You Tube. The incumbent will take photographs for NYCT events open to the public and media, employee recognition ceremonies and to illustrate training, safety and operational manuals.
Exper. & Educ.: 1. Three years of full-time paid experience acquired within the last twelve years as a photographer; or 2. Not less that two years of such experience acquired with the last ten years plus sufficient training of a relevant nature acquired in an approved trade of vocational high school or M.D.T.A. supported training program to make up a total of three years of creditable experience. Six months of acceptable experience will be credited for each year of approved trade or vocational school or M.D.T.A. supported training program.
Desired Skills: Expertise in digital photography, DSLR video and audio, plus proficiency in video editing applications.
